Install 1-Inch deadbolt locks on all exterior doors and windows when leaving your home at night.

Burglar proof your patio doors by setting a pipe or metal bar in the bottom track of the door slide.

Your  garage offers direct access to your home. Be sure to close it after entering and exiting, and keep it closed while you’re home.

If you plan to be away for an extended period of time, leave a tv or stereo on as if someone is still at home.

Don’t leave extra keys in obvious outdoor locations. Share a spare with a neighbor or someone you trust instead.

When your valuables aren’t in use, keep them in a safety deposit box to ensure they are out of a  potential intruder’s reach.
